Water heater and tankless reviews
Alta Vista was the third plumbing company that I called to get an estimate to have a new water heater installed. I wasn’t satisfied with the first two plumbers that came out to provide an estimate so I continued to look for another plumber which is when I found Alta Vista. When I spoke to Steve, the owner of Alta Vista, I was impressed by his friendliness and availability to come out to provide an estimate. I was hoping that I had finally found a plumber who was honest, trustworthy and would do quality work. When Steve came out to provide me with an estimate, he was super nice, patient in answering my questions and knowledgeable. Steve provided me with a couple of options for water heaters and took his time explaining them to me. His quote was also very reasonable. I decided to give my business to Alta Vista. When he and his crew arrived to remove our old water heater and install the new, they were all very friendly, polite and professional. Jared did the actual install of the new water heater, and he was very accommodating, easy to talk with and did a great job. I’m so glad to have found an honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable plumber in the Georgetown area. I will definitely use Alta Vista for future plumbing issues and will not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family members.
Professional, knowledgeable, and caring attitudes. We needed a plumber to replace our water heater. Even though they were busy, they took care of us. Communicated throughout the process which was appreciated. Honest and reliable people! Highly recommend!

Steve and his team did a fantastic job on my water heater replacement. We discovered the water had been leaking more than initially thought, which caused wood and drywall to be wet around the water heater. His team was able to take out the water heater, take out wet drywall and baseboard, thoroughly dry the area around it, apply a drying agent, and do the carpentry work necessary to repair and replace drywall, baseboard, and paint. The new water heater is working perfectly. Steve kept me completely informed along the way and documented the work with photos. Communication was great, they showed up on time when they said they would be there, and did the job at a very reasonable price.
We had a hot water leak and Steve really took care of what we needed. Jared came and did and awesome job and left everything clean. Thank you so much!!! Highly recommend Altavista services, they are fair and get the job done right!!!

Our water heater stopped working in the middle of a cold snap. Steve cut short his breakfast to stop by and take a look. Not only was he able to fix the immediate problem, but also suggested some improvements we could make to avoid a reoccurrence. Give these guys a call!

I called Alta Vista Plumbing with a water heater issue. The business happens to be near my house. I had tried to make some repairs myself and made a misstep. I talked with Steve, their master plumber, on the phone and explained my problem. He said he was going out on a job soon and would make a quick stop by to check on my issue. Within an hour he came to my house and checked the water heater and told me what I had done wrong and told me how to do the repair properly. I asked him how much the service call would cost he he said "nothing, we are neighbors". I have a feeling that is his attitude with all potential customers. We are new in Georgetown and this will by my go to plumber. I can tell in that short encounter that this business has great integrity and service.

Leaks, broken pipes and water lines
Jared and Nigel were punctual, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Everyone I spoke to from this company was delightful and helpful. We had a pipe break about a foot away from the clean out and they were able to come give me a quote same day and come out to do the work the next day. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.
I contacted AVP Services when I knew they were probably the busiest they would be for the foreseeable future, after a prolonged freeze, before the snow and ice were gone. I knew I needed help because a stream of water was flowing slowly across my driveway, still surrounded by 6 inches of snow and ice on either side. I had the water turned off for only a day before Steve arrived on a Sunday afternoon to make a "temporary fix" and restore water, while waiting to securing parts for the final repair. I greatly appreciated his help with keeping the water on while waiting for the necessary parts. I highly recommend this business, very accommodating and competent.

We had a pipe break (2 days before Christmas) late in the afternoon, and Alta Vista came out within 15 minutes to stabilize the leak. They also pointed out some addition issues related to the freeze that we hadn’t found yet. Great, fast and polite service. Will be using them again as soon as things thaw out a bit :)

Steve and his crew were recommended to us for a leaking water pipe in front of the house. They were very prompt in their reply’s, informative, honest and fair, looking for the most cost effective options. We have now used him twice and he would be the first person we would call if there was a third issue.
Excellent all the way! Very pleasant, professional and in time service. They came to my rescue, after 5 days, following the bitter cold and snow storm of February 2021 in Texas. Not having continuous electricity and heat caused a tremendous hardship to many including me. My house became very cold and my pipe broke causing flood inside my house. Water had to be shut off. Therefore no running water for 5 days. Finding a plumber was like winning a lottery now. These folks came to me as blessings from heaven! I can’t thank them enough. I am forever grateful to them! THANK YOU again!

We were without water over super bowl weekend due to a hot water leak under the slab near the master bathroom shower. I called multiple plumbing co. Monday and only Alta Vista could help us that day. Lydia came out and in about three hours had the leak uncovered and repaired! Very happy with her work!! Thank You!

After having a new faucet installed. I noticed a small leak in one of the pipes underneath kitchen sink. Reached back out to AVP and explained the situation. They set an appointment for Lydia to check it out and fix. I was pleased with Lydia’s help in getting the leak fixed and double checking that it was good to go. My first experience using AVP. I found myself doing a total remodel on a property recently purchased. Alta Vista went above and beyond to bring my property up to code and added value to the property through doing the following: added an extra bathroom, rerouted water lines, add an outside faucet, added utility connections, assured the water pressure from the meter to the house was accurate and educated us in the drainage system. All the new lines are insulated and Steve Maldonado kept us updated and educated during the entire process. During their service of my property there was one small leak that they promptly fixed as soon as I called them! To this day I have asked them questions pertaining to the plumbing on the property and they respond fast! I highly recommend Alta Vista Services for ALL plumbing jobs. There is no job too big or too small that they can't do!

This company was assigned by AHS to replace my garbage disposal on 11/24/20. Water was leaking out of the disposal under the sink, flooding it. Two days before Thanksgiving, can't use dishwasher or one side of sink. Major food prep going on in my house. I called them this morning and they moved heaven and earth for me. They didn't have any openings until Monday but jumped in and scheduled me for 6 pm. Got a call from David and he said he would try to move a few things and come in earlier. They arrived around 4:30 and that new disposal was up and running in about 10 minutes. Thank you everyone at AVPS. These disasters always happen at the wrong time but this company rocks! I couldn't be happier. The techs left and my dishwasher was running and I was able to use my sink and disposal. Couldn't ask for more. I was certainly thankful for their terrific and speedy service.

Drain and sewer reviews
I was in a panic. Our main sewer clogged up, meaning no water, toilet, nothing. I went to Whataburger to use their restroom. Lydia showed up within 10 minutes of her scheduled appoint, diagnosed the issue and fixed it. I am so happy to use my own plumbing. P.S. I thought the price was very fair.…

Water softener reviews
The entire experience was wonderful! They are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and thoroughly professional. They replaced our water softener and did an outstanding job. We are hiring them back to replace our kitchen faucet. We absolutely cannot say enough good things about the company and the quality of the work. We recommend them 100% , no questions asked!

Toilets, faucets, sinks and disposals
In July 2020, I was connected to Alta Vista via Lowe's who uses Handy to schedule their toilet install jobs. While I wasn't thrilled with Handy, Alta Vista was fantastic. They're a family-owned business, and owner Steve and his son completed my job. Because I paid for install via Lowe's I don't know what Alta Vista would have charged, but I would not hesitate to reach out to them for future plumbing needs. Update: Sept 2020, I have used them again to replace the garbage disposal, and have been very pleased with their service. June 2021 -- I have had Alta Vista out to flush my water heater, excellent service!

I had a toilet replaced by this company through Lowe's. The two gentlemen who came were prompt and professional. One of them offered to swap out the seat from the old toilet with the one downstairs. Thank goodness because it saved me the frustration of having to figure it out myself! It also saved me money because the seat was new... me trying to swap out the seat is what led to the upstairs toilet breaking in the first place 😬😅 The job was completed days earlier than what Lowe's advised it would be!
Lydia did a superb job on installing our kitchen faucet. She went beyond our expectations and should be commended for it--along with her 0partner, Daniel. We recommend their service to everybody! Thanks again!!
Both Nick and Zach were on time. The first toilet was installed perfectly, but the 2nd had a factory defect. They immediately went back to Lowe's, got a replacement and installed it later in the day as promised. An overall 'job well done' by both men. Highly recommended.

We called AVS to replace two toilets in our home and I'm definitely glad we did. The team was professional, courteous and prompt. They're experts in understanding customer needs and fulfilling them. I highly recommend them and will enlist their services for any and all future plumbing needs.
Daniel is extremely professional. He knows outstanding his trade and understanding of details with explanation to me, the customer, how to use product and helped me with other issues in my house. They replaced my garbage disposal and the shut-off valve under the sink. They were on time and finished the job quickly and did a great job cleaning up and leaving everything neat. I definitely recommend them!

Quoted $1,100 to put in a Smart Bidet due to the difficulty of putting in a Smart toilet, but when we balked at the price, they came down to $700 which from a bit of research was still too high.This and having to go out for over an hour to get a drill bit to finish the job was the topper. The real difficulty was getting an electic outlet in the toilet which we had done prior to their arriving.Then they charged us $50 of tax in which tax can't be collected on this project as we didn't buy the bidet from them.
A professional master plumber and clear communication. The review and price were established in the first 10 minutes for several jobs. He price was the lowest I have gotten. The work was clean and well done. Mr. Joe's price for the work needed was cheaper a quote to complete just on sink plumbing install. Kind spirit and loves what he does. His work was done with pride and was evident of a life long family business. Highly recommended and the best plumbing service out 4 plumbers in my home. Thank you for your time and great work. I finally have my sink back.

The installers were courteous and seemed to be knowledgeable and experienced at performing these installations. They cleaned up after themselves, gave me literature that came with the disposal unit and suggested I register it with the manufacturer. They left a business card and invited me to call if any problems are encountered. Right now everything seems to be functioning properly, but it will be at least a three or four weeks before I can make a judgment call concerning the quality of the workmanship.

This was our first experience with Alta Vista. We were scheduled to have 3 toilets installed but due to issues with flooring in one of our bathrooms only 2 were installed. We are so grateful that our plumber pointed out the problem and offered a viable solution. A lessor company would have simply covered up the problem and would not have taken the time to thoroughly explain the residual affects. And that is perfectly acceptable because once we get the flooring issue rectified Daniel and Anthony get to come back to complete the job. We also greatly appreciated their prompt arrival, their courtesy and professionalism. Today, 3.23.22, Daniel and Tony returned to complete the 3rd toilet installation and I would love to say it went off without a hitch but it did not. I am happy to report, however, they did not give up and did not leave until they were sure everything was working. Their level of commitment did not go un-noticed. Also, we have a brand new garbage disposal that they installed. We are pleased with Alta Vista.

Steve and his team really helped me out when I had a plumbing emergency at my condo in downtown Austin. They were able to get out there the very next day, assess the situation, then finish the project on the following day before I had a real emergency. I would be happy to use them again if needed.
Excellent plumbing company with knowledgeable and professional staff. They repaired my plumbing issue promptly and in a very timely manner from my initial contact. They showed up on time and were ready with materials and supplies to complete my repair issue. We will use them again without hesitation.
Jared was amazingly helpful and thorough. He managed to balance being a genuinely nice guy with his professional know-how which made having him do the work a pleasure. Steve Maldonado responded in a timely fashion and always kept me up to date with what was happening. His responsiveness and professionalism were what made me give the job to Altavista Services in the first place.
